When Sex Offenders Reject Treatment

During Jason’s 2014 trial, the prosecutor praised Rayna Rison’s brother-in-law, Ray McCarty, for admitting guilt when he was indicted for molesting and impregnating the 13-year-old in 1989. However, he didn’t tell the jury that McCarty rejected the sex offender treatment that was a requirement of his lenient sentence for the crime. He was thrown out of two programs, and the director of one warned his probation officer he would offend again.
