The Pathological Liar

Rickey Hammons provided a scenario straight out of Scarface when asked how and why he killed Danny Cassidy. The story was so outlandish police took him to the scene of the crime and had him recreate it on video. Hammons admitted, later the same day, that it was a lie but he went on to tell other elaborate tales about Danny’s murder. It was no wonder Hammons’s sister told police that her brother was “a pathological liar.” Even though Rickey was the central witness against Jason Tibbs, his lawyers failed to research the Cassidy case, and the prosecutor told Jason’s jury, “There has been no evidence that Rickey Hammons is a professional liar. I don’t recall any evidence at all that he’s a liar.”
